Opening of the 2016 World Club Championship
Bangkok, Thailand (December 6, 2016) - Day three of the 2016 World Club Championship was set up as a practice round for the competitors and a chance for the patrons from around the world to play Ayodhya Links. For many, today was the first time to play this new entry at #76 in GOLF Magazine’s Top 100 Courses in the World. Everyone agreed that the course is in great shape, it is a challenge, and the greens are fast making for a wonderful day of golf.
Today the tournament was officially declared open in a ceremony marked by traditional Thai entertainment, the introduction of each team in a formal parade to their seats and the raising of the 15 countries flags representing each club. Present were high ranking Thai dignitaries, Thai celebrity MC’s and 30 golf dignitaries. The day concluded with the Opening Ceremony Dinner at Ayodhya Links Terrace Restaurant overlooking the golf course.
