Championship Media Marketing

As the Championship enters its 12th year, a global marketing and public relations plan has been established to promote the event. GOLF Magazine provides the Championship the ideal media Partner, as invitees are chosen from the Top 100 Courses in the World biannual rankings, widely considered the definitive list of great golf courses worldwide.

Championship Television Production

The 90-minute Championship telecast airs four times on the Golf Channel throughout the world, with two primetime airings in the United States. Sky Television broadcasts the Championship in the United Kingdom and provides feeds to Europe. Golf Channel affiliates around the world are given the opportunity to show the telecast. Past Championships have screened in 19 countries around the world. The production company joins with the local affiliate to produce the show and the show airs in the host country, in the host language, on a major sports network. Seven-time Emmy winner Terry Jastrow, who for more than 20 years produced 68 major championships for ABC Sports, is the Championship producer.

The highly proclaimed production team is on-site all week to creatively capture the essence of the Championship and blend competition with interviews with local cultural highlights with elaborate Opening Introduction and Closing Ceremonies with Award Presentations.
