Norman V. Swenson, Jr.

May 24, 2011

The game of golf has lost a dear friend. Norman Swenson of Charlotte, North Carolina, and a member of Pine Valley Golf Club, passed away peacefully in his sleep of natural causes, Saturday on a flight from Seoul, Korea to Atlanta en route to his final destination Charlotte following his participation in the 2011 WCC representing Pine Valley GC.

His dear friend and WCC partner Kevin Hammer sat with Norman for the remainder of the flight and never left his side to ensure Norman was allowed to go home to Charlotte with dignity always being close to someone who loved him.

The World Club Championship family of friends is deeply saddened by Norm's passing, and extend our heartfelt sympathies to his wife Shelley, his three children, his two grandchildren, and the many people around the world who are his friend.

Norman made the world a brighter and better place. We will mourn his passing, while always remembering the joy and laughter he brought to our lives.

Respectfully,

The World Club Championship Committee
